Project 1: Ink Rendering

Research and select one of the Bibiena families set design drawings and re-create the rendering in pen and ink. Transfer the drawing by gridding technique or using graphite on an 18”x24” Bristol board. Rendering should depict the use of shadow in a dramatic way.

Project 2: Watercolour Costumes

Research three costumes from different time periods with different textures. Render each costume plates on 11” X 17” watercolor papers.

Project 3: Acrylic Textures

On a18”x24” Bristol board depict the following: wall paper, wood or paneling, stone or marble, glass, and metal. Students may use magazine photos or other sources as sample to copy.
