Spring Awakening was performed by the Auburn University Department of Theatre as part of their mainstage season in 2021. This show was designed by guest designers in order to give students the experience of working with professional designers. Due to the scale of the lighting plot, the show had two master electricians. The plot put the space at over-capacity in terms of power load, so external power and dimmers had to be run from other parts of the building. Because of the extreme load on the power system in the theatre, part of Katie's duties involved daily maintenance and upkeep of the dimmer and distro racks in the building.
